Our Dragon Noble Commander made a good show in Standard by turning all the sacrifices into fuel to keep things going. If you want a very creature focused Bant deck then Chulane will be happy to let you play all you want and help keep your hand full.
Chulane allows you to jump ahead in cards and land with his ability and the interactions with Cloudstone Curio are plenty.
There are plenty of other interactions that go on in this deck even if the combo plan doesn't work out.

With a mix of defence and disruption supporting it the deck is dangerous and knowing how to break the combo when facing this deck is key. Combining this with a creature that can return itself to your hand and a draw engine such as Chulane or Guardian Project will allow you to draw as many as you'd like. The main part Aluren, an enchantment that will let you cast creatures with converted mana cost 3 or less at instant speed and for free. While I did make some different choices than many competitive players would make at its core it has the pieces and consistency to go for the win. The deck uses Chulane as a draw engine to dig for combo pieces and win the game with creatures like Thassa's Oracle and Laboratory Maniac. What’s really powerful is Alela’s token-making engine, so we’ll want to lean hard into playing lots of artifacts and enchantments that do powerful things. So we should lean heavily on “flying tribal” to maximize that part of the text box. What’s interesting about Alela’s ability to boost her Faerie tokens is that the boost covers any flyers, not just Faeries. Deathtouch means she can take down just about any creature in combat, and the lifelink helps with racing, especially if we can boost her power. Alela is small, but she has three very useful keyword abilities. Since green is one of the format’s best colors, flying tends to be a very potent evasion ability and there are ways we can boost flyers even more. It’s just four mana, and it starts churning out 2/1s each time you cast an artifact or enchantment. I’m very curious if Alela originally had some way to draw a card built-in but it proved to be way too powerful compared to the others and the designed was tweaked?Īlela as printed is quite aggressive. Drawing cards is a powerful mechanic in any Commander deck, and having it attached to the actual commander makes it something you can bank on to keep the gas flowing throughout the game.
